Impact Studios Dance & Fitness offers recreational and competitive dance for ages 3 to 18, adult dance‑fitness and stretch, private coaching, and hourly studio rental for yoga and fitness professionals — in two hardwood, mirrored studios on Court Street, led by award‑winning choreographer Josalyn Cipkas.

In September 2026 I took the studio over, and it is becoming Impact Studios Dance & Fitness — same hardwood, same mirrors, a fresh coat of white paint, and a different way of running things. Come see how we teach before you decide anything. Dancers can wear leggings or shorts with a fitted top, hair pulled back, bare feet or any dance shoes. Bring a water bottle and a grown‑up.
Not in the 3–8 range? Reply with your dancer’s age and we’ll set up a trial in the right class — kids, teens, or adults.

Combo classes in ballet, tap and jazz, plus hip hop. Forty‑five minutes of real technique taught with patience and play. This is where most of our dancers start.
Ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap and hip hop, recreational or competitive. Our competition teams have taken first‑place overall titles at High Demand and StarQuest — and every team dancer keeps a technique class in their week.
No mirrors full of teenagers, no judgment. Beginners and returning dancers welcome in every class.

One‑on‑one 90‑minute sessions with Josalyn in Studio 1, 2 or 3: technique, audition prep, competition solos, strength and injury prevention, tricks, or simply learning to dance as an adult. $180 per session, or 5 sessions for $750, with a free consultation first.

Tell us your dancer’s age. We’ll confirm the class and time the same day.
Sign a one‑page waiver at the front desk. Parents are welcome to watch from the lobby window.
Leggings or shorts, fitted top, hair back, bare feet or any dance shoes. Bring water.
If it fits, register in the parent portal that night. If not, no follow‑up pressure — ever.
The 2026–27 season is in session, and new dancers can start any week with a Free Trial Class. Petite (ages 3–5) runs Monday, Tuesday or Saturday; Beginner (ages 6–8) runs Wednesday or Saturday. Peach blocks show times for private lessons and studio rental.

Competition dancers take a mandatory ballet class and two recreational classes. Classes with fewer than four dancers may be combined; families are told before the season begins. Full class list and registration are in the parent portal.

If you teach yoga, barre, Pilates, Zumba, martial arts or kids’ tumbling and you’re tired of church halls and gym corners: two mirrored hardwood studios, ballet barres, a sound system, a lobby for check‑in, and free parking right at the door off Dingwall Drive. You bring your class; we bring the room.
Both studios are freshly painted white — Studio 2 is the yoga room, with string lights, room for 12–15 mats, one door from the lobby. Studio 1 fits 20–25 for fitness.

Tuition is non‑refundable and billed on the 1st–7th of each month. September 2026 is billed at 50% (classes run Sept 14–30); full monthly tuition begins October 1. Rates shown are the published 2026–27 season rates for all families.
No. Recreational classes have no audition and no prerequisite. The free trial class is the honest way to find the right starting point.

Company tuition covers unlimited classes: Petite $130, Junior $195, Teen $200, Senior $215, Teen/Senior Elite $250 per month. Costume fees ($70 recreational, $80 competition), the recital fee ($75) and competition entries are published before the season and billed on set dates, so there are no surprises.
Yes. Adult classes are built for beginners and returning dancers. Come to one for $22 and decide.
Your own liability insurance, a signed studio agreement, and a regular slot you’d like to hold. Email us with your class and preferred times and we’ll send the agreement.
